Lakki Marwat

 Lakki Marwat is a southern district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bannu Division. Lakki Marwat was given district status in 1992 before that it was a tehsil of Bannu. Pashto is local language. Located in the south of KPK, this district is connected with Karak,Bannu, South Waziristan, Dera Ismail Khan and Tank district.

The beauty of Lakki Marwat


Lakki Marwat is an area consisting of high mountains and flat plains. This beautiful mountain range extends from Laki Marwat to the adjoining districts which offer a fascinating view, especially Sheikh Badin Hill which is a beautiful tourist destination on the occasions of Eid festivals, local people usually come here for entertainment. A large river flows from the nearby mountains and falls into the Indus River, which is called the Koram River,. Because of the rich in minerals hill  Pakistan's largest cement factory is located here

Painda Dish

The famous Dash of Lucky Marwat, especially from the southern districts of Painda. This Dash is a Pakistani version of the popular Middle Eastern Dash Tarid it is mainly made from two main ingredients: Roti and Curry. If you agree to visit to Lucky Marwat, I would suggest you to eat painda dish also, for dessert,  the halwa here is amazing.


Local dance

The people here are very cheerful and entertaining people. Atan,khattak dance which is a traditional Pashto dance, performs in large numbers in a very beautiful way 



Shooting. 

Marwat nation is a warrior nation, they consider weapons as their jewelry In peacetime, they fulfill their war passion in shooting competition and the people here are trained in natural warfare. They fight side by side their defense force in case of any enemy attack.


University of Lakki marwat

In terms of education, there is a need to do more in this district, people are less inclined towards education. Lucky Marwat University, which is the only university in this district, is trying to equip the youth here with education.
